Letter from the Secretary General

Dear Delegates, Moderators, and Friends of NCSC Singapore,

As the Secretary General of National Collegiate Security Conference (NCSC) Singapore, I am very excited to meet with you all to the beautiful country of Singapore! It is my great pleasure to welcome all of you to the first iteration of the National Collegiate Security Conference in Singapore. From June 1st until June 3rd, delegates will be transported from the halls of the National University of Singapore to the chambers of the UN, cabinets of some of the world’s most famous leaders, and much more. With NCSC Singapore, we will be bringing our trademark security-focused crisis committees directly from Washington to Singapore, delivering an American committee experience directly to Southeast Asia. We are very excited to continue the prestigious reputation of NCSC as a conference of academic rigor, substantive depth, and challenging and realistic crises. With our four innovative crisis committees and two larger sized committees, we are certain that delegates will be pushed to expand their knowledge, develop their diplomatic skills, and create innovative solutions as they experience what will be an amazing four days.

Our entire staff is extremely excited to be traveling to Singapore, and their dedication for NCSC Singapore knows no bounds. They are working hard to ensure the best Model UN experience for all of you.  We hope that through enthralling debate, engaging in dialogue with speakers, and creating innovative solutions to a range of problems will spark a passion for international relations. As students from Georgetown University, our staff have been able to dedicate themselves to their own studies of international affairs through both their classroom experience as well as their involvement with Model UN. All of our staff is incredibly passionate about educating delegates and helping spark a curiosity for international affairs which will surely come across during the conference.

We are so unbelievably excited for NCSC Singapore and are incredibly passionate about bringing the best conference possible. We are over the moon to begin NCSC in Singapore and hope that you have as much fun during the conference as we have had during the planning. If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns in regards to the conference, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. I can best be contacted at m.underwood@modelun.org. Again, I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Singapore in June!

Kind regards,

Meggie Underwood
